This home is built utilizing a timberframe and panel construction. The timberframe was made locally, and the panels were chosen for their sustainable features; they are made from straw fiberboard and filled with straw infill for insulation. The exterior is reclaimed barnwood siding. The home has both passive and active solar features, including photovoltaic and solar thermal panels.
